General Return Policy

Because you are buying the secret when purchasing an effect.
No returns. No refunds. No exchanging for a different item. Please read the description of the trick before making your purchase. If you have any questions please feel free to contact us and ask any questions before making your purchase. We will be more than happy to help assist you in choosing the right trick for you.

Returning Items Damaged In Use

Depending on the trick / effect we can sometimes replace an item that becomes defective or broken during use, that should not have broken. It is up to the decision of Magicians Lair if the item should be replaced. Item that are delicate or easily broken will not be replaced as all instructions should be read before tampering or playing around with the prop(s).

Returning A Defective Item

Defective items will gladly be replaced with the exact same it. Magicians Lair reserves the right to open item to make sure it leaves here in perfect working order and no other defects are found. Item that you damage, by mistake or misuse will not be replaced. Please use our contact form and we will give full attention to your issue and respond promptly.Postage for shipping items back to use will be the responsibility of the customer. When sending an item back please use priority mail so that we have proof that you mailed the package back. Once we get the package back we will ship the replacement item.

Wrong Address Or Cannot be Delivered As Addressed

If you gave us a wrong address or an address was not changed properly in Paypal, your bank etc. When we receive the package back you will be refunded, should you wish to cancel the order. The amount refunded will be the cost of the effect minus shipping fees. Please let us know if you want the item(s) reshipped. Our system prints out the address exactly as you have it stored in your payment systems. Should you wish the order resent, we will send you a invoice for shipment. If the shipping method returns a package to us because of wrong or undeliverable address.

Why These Policies?

We try to be fair with everyone who purchases each item. When you buy the item you are buying two things. First you are buying the secret, and the item or prop. Item or prop is just the bonus. Once you learn the secret or principal behind the effect that cannot be erased. The creators have spent years testing, using and then marketing these effects. It would not be fair to other magicians or performers to be able to buy it just to see how it works. Second, each item has a good write up description, as well as many have video demos so you can see it performed in use. So you should have a good amount of information at hand before you make your purchase.
